Presentation of PCC Jürg Vogt, MD102 Switzerland

 

Jürg, born in 1956, has been a Lion since 1987, and is married to Lion Iris. He is a businessman in the firefighting industry, an event manager, and has held many positions in the Lions hierarchy in District 102, Switzerland.

In a nutshell: As a Lion, I managed the bilingual District 102W in 2014/15 as District Governor. At the Lions Days 2007 and 2012 I was District Coordinator. In 2017 I served as President for the International White Cane Day. As Program-Director and Vice-President I have also made a notable mark on the 2017 European Forum in Montreux. Following these activities, I coordinated the achievements of the Council of Governors as Council Chairperson at the beginning of the Covid-Period 2019/2020.

Professionally, I run a trading company and import firefighting items to Europe from the USA and Canada, including portable battery fans, search and rescue cameras, underwater sonar search equipment, and the like.

I am also responsible for the event management at the Restaurant Rössli, near the city of Bern, where I organize cultural and musical events of all kinds.

My special strengths include organizational talent, stamina, strong team player, extensive entrepreneurial talent, decisive, and I have a flair for practical solutions.
